Teens in the Kitchen: Canning Vegetables
Calling all teens! We're excited to relaunch in-person cooking classes at Powisset Farm designed just for you. In this hands-on cooking class, you'll learn all the basics of canning farm-fresh vegetables from Powisset Farm. Participants will learn this great way of storing food and will take home pickles, salsa and more.
Covid-19 Guidelines: Each participant will have their own station to work on and their own set of ingredients and kitchen tools. Stations will be spread out 3-6 feet apart and masks and gloves will be required during parts of the class. Mask breaks will also be encouraged.
This drop-off class is designed for teens ages 13-17. Class is limited to 8 students to allow for social distancing. Pre-registration is required 2 days prior to a class or event. If it is within 2 days and you wish to register, please email powissetfarm@thetrustees.org or call 508.785.0339 to find out if there is space remaining.
