Preschool Farm Explorer Fridays
Calling all preschoolers! Fall is here, and our farm is changing. Your little farm explorers will become fully immersed in what life is like at Chestnut Hill Farm. Each Friday morning will be a new learning experience. We will begin by learning about a topic such as “Lifecycle of a Chicken” or “Where Does Out Food Come From.” Then we will take a walk on the farm, relating what we’ve learned to everything we are seeing! We may look for decomposers, do a science experiment, or take a look at the animals. We will then make something to take home! This could be a related art project, a bird house, or seeds that you planted yourself.
Beginning in October, this is a monthly sign up. We will be able to work on longer farm art projects, and learn more about each topic! Each month will have different themes, and you are welcome to attend as many months as you would like!
Dates: October 1, 8, 15, 22
This program is recommended for children age 2 years 9 months to age 5. Adult supervision is required; this is not a drop off program. Younger siblings between 1.5 and 2.9 years are welcome with an additional fee of $24/$30 for member/nonmembers. Siblings under age 1.5 can attend at no additional cost.
