Timed Ticketing Open Barnyard at Weir River Farm

Come to Weir River Farm for our modified, timed-ticketing Open Barnyard! As summer turns to fall, the air is getting crisp and our barnyard animals are all grown up. Our farmers have hayed our fields and preparation is underway for winter. Nutmeg the pony, Billy the goat, and our other barnyard regulars are excited to welcome you to the barnyard. Visit the barnyard with your family to brush a goat, make a barnyard craft, see the chickens, and more. Talk to a friendly farmer and learn more about life of the farm, and while you’re here, take a walk on one of our many farm trails and experience all that Weir River Farm has to offer!

Please note: currently only our staff and volunteers are allowed to touch our animals as a precaution against COVID-19. Our staff will perform animal demonstrations and provide other engaging animal-related activities.

Pre-registration is required for this event. Tickets are for an hour-long visit and each hour is limited to 15 children and their accompanying adults. Groups will be expected to practice social distancing and cloth face-coverings are required.

Parking located at 140 Turkey Hill Lane, then walk down the farm “chute” to the barnyard. (Consider using a baby carrier in lieu of a stroller; the walk down the hill isn’t well suited for average strollers.) For any questions please reach out to weirriverfarm@thetrustees.org.
