We’re all in this together. Please be kind and patient with each other and our staff. |
Reserve Your Tickets in Advance
We are recommending that visitors purchase or reserve a ticket in advance for specific time slots to ensure we are able to manage campus capacity and prioritize safety. If you are unable to purchase a ticket online please call 510-318-8429 to purchase over the phone. A limited number of tickets will be available onsite.
You will be able to enter at any time during your timed ticket slot half hour and stay as long as you need. Those who arrive more than 30 minutes after their time slot may not be guaranteed entrance. Please check in with the onsite ticketing staff for possible rebooking depending on ticket availability. Tickets are non-refundable.
Follow the Signs for Safety
After completing the self-screening questionnaire and scanning your pre-purchased ticket at the Oak Street entrance, please look for the safety signage and floor decals so you can make your way safely through the galleries and gardens. Staff will be positioned throughout campus to assist those with wayfinding as needed.
New Museum Hours
We’ll be open three days per week, Friday – Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm for the first several weeks and will move to our regular Wednesday – Sunday schedule in mid-January. Check out our visit page for more information about hours of operation, parking, and more.

Access to the gardens is free but requires a timed ticket reservation in order to manage campus capacity. You can reserve a free garden ticket online in advance or onsite.
